Commercial tomato paste producers use Betanin to improve the color and flavor. - Russia is the top beet producer in the world. Russia produces 39 million tons of beets annually which puts it on top of the chart followed by France and United States. - Beet is a natural body cleanser / detox. One component (Betalains) in beet has shown to be very effective in detoxification process.
